NC Programmer
Talascend is currently seeking a NC Programmer for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
The role involves creating NC programs for aerospace components using NX CAM, planning and designing manufacturing processes, and maximizing efficiency in an industrial plant.
Responsibilities
- Experience programming three, four, and five axes mills.
- Experience programming leads.
- Experience using NX programming software.
- Experience machining aluminum aerospace parts.
- Experience creating workholding fixtures and selecting cutting tools for machining of aerospace components.
- Plans and designs manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.
- Determines parts and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
Qualifications
- May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Requirements
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
