Network Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Kings Point, New York.
Overview
This role provides overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs, including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the network.
Responsibilities
- Support the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, and implementation.
- Establishes and recommends changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).
- Ensures project schedules and performance requirements are met.
- Serves in a lead role, supervising lower level network engineers and may be involved in training said engineers.
- Coordinates the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years experience in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility.
- MUST have an active Public Trust.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of the technical field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.
- Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Good communication skills.
