Network Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Washington, District Of Columbia.
Overview
This role involves providing overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs, including planning, designing, and evaluating various network components.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs.
- Support the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, test, and implementation.
- Complete difficult and complex assignments with comprehensive knowledge of the technical field.
- Establish and recommend changes to policies affecting subordinate organizations.
- Work on problems of moderate scope requiring evaluation of various factors.
- Exercise independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and criteria for obtaining results.
- Ensure project schedules and performance requirements are met.
- Frequently interact with customers and functional peer groups to gain cooperation, oversee production, and maintain work schedules.
- May serve in a lead role and train others.
- Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance to nonexempt personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years experience in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Knowledge of assigned products, company functions, service policies and procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to handle seldom and unusual occurring job events.
- Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
