Talascend is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Washington, District Of Columbia.

Overview

This role involves providing overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs, including planning, designing, and evaluating various network components.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs.
  • Support the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, test, and implementation.
  • Complete difficult and complex assignments with comprehensive knowledge of the technical field.
  • Establish and recommend changes to policies affecting subordinate organizations.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope requiring evaluation of various factors.
  • Exercise independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and criteria for obtaining results.
  • Ensure project schedules and performance requirements are met.
  • Frequently interact with customers and functional peer groups to gain cooperation, oversee production, and maintain work schedules.
  • May serve in a lead role and train others.
  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance to nonexempt personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years experience in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of assigned products, company functions, service policies and procedures.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to handle seldom and unusual occurring job events.
  • Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
