Distribution Design Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Distribution Design Engineer located in Framingham, Massachusetts.
Overview
This role is responsible for planning, engineering, and designing electric and gas distribution systems, determining the need, size, location, and timing of power delivery infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
- Work package development of overhead, underground residential distribution, and underground cable/conduit
- Field engineering of project requirements
- Identification of conflicting utilities
- Engineering and design calculations
- Post-construction reviews
- Typically requires BS degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- Works on day-to-day objectives with limited impact beyond the scope of own work area/project team
- Works under supervision on less complex projects/assignments
- Solves simple, routine technical problems following established procedures and policies
- Develops products, solutions, processes using basic principles, theories, and concepts within own technical specialty
- Requires basic knowledge of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of narrow technical domain
- Communicates with peers to explain facts, basic analysis, processes, and practices related to area
