Maintenance Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Baltimore , Maryland.
Overview
The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.
Shift
- Monday through Friday
- 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
- Weekends as needed and on call 24/7
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance
- Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
- Support on-call or emergency response situations
- Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
- Comply with all safety procedures
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
- Other projects and tasks to be assigned
Qualifications
- Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable
- 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry
- Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive
- Strong customer service skills
