Material Handler
Talascend is currently seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.
Overview
This role involves executing the receiving, storing, using, staging, and distribution of materials required for the assembly of ultrasound probes. It requires physical movement of materials, inventory management, and coordination with production personnel.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or pallet jacks
- Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments
- Process material against purchase orders and work orders using electronic material management system
- Coordinate with on-site team for parts replenishment and material storage
- Work with production personnel to resolve/prevent part shortages
- Perform cycle counts, audits, and physical inventory per schedule
- Help reconcile inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to supervisor
- May assist in training of new hires
- Comply with EHS & quality system regulations and policies
- Read and follow work instructions and bills of materials
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or local equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Proficient in basic mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to consistently lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to utilize automated lifting equipment
