Engineering Support Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking an Engineering Support Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Seattle, Washington.
Overview
This role involves providing support to engineers on technical projects and/or products, including collecting, maintaining, organizing, and manipulating technical data, creating prototypes, preparing engineering documentation, reports, drawings, and performing mathematical calculations and analyses.
Responsibilities
- Support engineers on technical projects by collecting, maintaining, and organizing technical data.
- Create, build, assemble, modify, and repair prototypes.
- Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and drawings such as sketches, flow charts, diagrams, and schematics.
- Perform mathematical calculations according to engineering specifications.
- Analyze data and recommend solutions to problems and obstacles.
- Set up and conduct tests, record data to assist with engineering analysis.
- Assist in scientific tasks such as permit applications or calibration of mathematical models for complex projects.
- Exercise independent judgment within established practices and policies.
- Collaborate with peers, subordinates, and outside customers, exchanging factual information regularly.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related experience.
- OR AA degree in related discipline with 2 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
