Talascend is currently seeking a Customer Service Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Houston, Texas.

Overview

Under general supervision, answers employee questions and directs employees to applicable resources. The role focuses on providing customer service, handling service issues, and working with internal departments within waste management.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, assigns, and updates customer tickets daily.
  • Communicates with customers about service issues and works with internal departments for resolution.
  • Uses waste management programs and software tools to manage a variety of tasks, benefit changes, ticket requests, customer inquiries, and other assignments.
  • Utilizes effective listening and communication skills to identify problems, needs, and opportunities.
  • Regular evening work hours may be required.
  • Additional duties as necessary.
  • Adequate use of telephony system.
  • Basic computer skills (utilizing online resources).

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or G.E.D, and zero to four years previous experience.
  • Preferred: High school diploma or G.E.D, plus additional or specialized training, and zero to four years previous experience.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, writing, and communication skills.
