Data Collection Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Data Collection Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Hopewell, Virginia.
Overview
This role involves field-based data collection and verification of assets, requiring physical activity and attention to detail. The technician will support data entry and equipment verification processes in various programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform field-based data collection and asset verification, including bending, stooping, and ladder climbing.
- Document and validate collected data using Excel and spreadsheet tools.
- Assist with equipment data collection and data entry for the MI program.
- Read P&ID schematics, locate piping in the M.I. program, and make notations regarding accessibility, inspection ports, and insulation presence.
- Highlight piping circuits in P&IDs, scan, and download into appropriate files.
- Match equipment on P&IDs with equipment in SAP and note any missing equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent as a minimum requirement.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, and ladder climbing.
- Working knowledge of Excel and spreadsheet tools.
