Automotive Technician
Talascend is currently seeking an Automotive Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Dearborn, Michigan
Overview
The automotive technician will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. The role involves working with team members on project work and customer interactions, with training provided for specific skills like the dyno process.
Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections.
- Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components.
- Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.
- Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders.
- Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.
- Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of previous experience required
- Mechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipment
- MUST have rolling toolbox
