Software Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Washington, District Of Columbia.
Overview
This role involves performing the software engineering function, including design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products. The engineer applies principles, standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle, impacting multiple technical areas and projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform software requirements analysis and hardware compatibility analysis.
- Develop software products and tools used for design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure and platforms.
- Work to achieve project and program objectives and deliverables.
- Manage large projects or processes with moderate impact on results.
- Develop solutions to complex technical issues impacting multiple disciplines.
- Employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems.
- Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and with client team members.
- Influence project and team leaders regarding solution design, processes, and approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6-10 years of experience.
- MUST have an Active Public Trust.
- Expert knowledge of advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
