Software Developer
Talascend is currently seeking a Software Developer for a contract opportunity with our client in Arlington, Virginia.
Overview
This role involves writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications, and applying frameworks involved in a software release. Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing to develop applications and frameworks as part of the software development life cycle, resulting in a software product.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain source code for software applications.
- Create and maintain software applications and frameworks involved in software releases.
- Document code and development processes.
- Manage configuration and perform testing and bug fixing.
- Collaborate with team members and other technical staff to resolve technical issues.
- Develop solutions to technical problems requiring technical depth and collaboration.
- Communicate technical solutions and procedures to colleagues across multiple areas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with less than 2 years of experience
- Expertise in at least one programming language
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
