Business Operations Analyst
Talascend is currently seeking a Business Operations Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
Overview
The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Responsibilities include maintaining project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics, and budget. The role typically reports to a project manager or director.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization
- Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics
- Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements
- Establish and document business processes
- Set up project and work breakdown structures
- Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets
- Participate in strategic projects and operational initiatives spanning growth, go-to-market, and operational performance enhancement
- Provide in-depth strategic insights and analysis based on business data
- Develop business cases and strategic options based on financial and ROI analysis
- Prepare executive summaries to share business strategies, plans, and deep dives into specific topics
- Monitor eCommerce business performance, profitability, and identify process improvements
- Conduct financial analysis to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets
- Continuously monitor customer experience and provide insights to optimize conversion rates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or relevant field required
- MUST be bilingual in Korean and English
- 2-4 years of related experience required
- Experience working with Telecom, Technology, Consumer Electronics, and/or Retail industry preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively
- Experience analyzing situations or data with in-depth evaluation of variables
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills
- Experience with financial analysis, building business cases, and P&L analysis
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties through relevant experience, training, or education
