Manufacturing Assembler
Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Dearborn, Michigan.
Overview
The Manufacturing Assembler role involves assisting in assembly processes and learning from experienced team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position requires working on vehicle and component assembly, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Assist a senior assembler with assembling products and sub-components to support vehicle production and other products.
- Support vehicle and material movement in and around the facility.
- Follow electronic build book for assembly instructions.
- Clean and prepare components and vehicles for production.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow established safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months of experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- High school automotive shop class(es)
- Experience performing personal vehicle maintenance
- Proficient with computer usage
- Ability to learn and follow written instructions
- Ability to perform fine hand manipulation
- Knowledge of tools and their use
- Knowledge of tire/oil change (previous experience considered a plus)
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends
