Talascend is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Bellevue, Washington.

Overview

the role involves analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, supporting the development and implementation of IT solutions, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure system functionality aligns with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Leading initiatives involving business process re-engineering and risk identification in proposed IT solutions
  • Gathering, analyzing, modeling, and tracking complex requirements, including creating process diagrams and user stories
  • Designing and working with IT to deploy software, hardware, or commercial off-the-shelf applications
  • Interpreting large datasets and creating advanced data visualizations to guide decision-making
  • Acting as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to explain project outcomes and manage vendor proposals
  • Ensuring software products meet quality standards and functional requirements by designing, executing, and automating test cases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area
  • At least 5 years of IT business analyst experience
  • Experience in computer system development and modification
  • Advanced knowledge of information systems capabilities, techniques, and intricacies
  • Ability to understand and carry out complex technical instructions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Clear and concise communication skills
