Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Herndon, Virginia.

Overview

The senior business analyst will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving initiatives to enhance customer services, marketing, and sales operations. The role involves business analysis, process improvement, and leveraging customer data to improve service delivery and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customer services, marketing, sales, and operational teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions with stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for technical teams.
  • Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage CRM platforms, including Salesforce, to analyze customer interactions, sales pipelines, and business opportunities.
  • Support the design, implementation, and analysis of customer surveys, VoC programs, and customer feedback initiatives.
  • Support project planning, prioritization, testing, deployment, and change management activities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of business analysis experience in complex business and technology environments.
  • Proven experience supporting customer services, sales, marketing, or customer experience functions, with understanding of customer lifecycle management and customer-facing processes.
  • Hands-on experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, including requirements gathering, process optimization, reporting, and business analysis activities.
  • Experience designing, implementing, analyzing, or leveraging customer surveys, CSAT, NPS, VoC, or similar customer feedback programs.
  • Strong expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder management, and business process improvement.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Business Analyst, Salesforce Administrator, or related CRM certifications.
  • Experience with Palantir Skywise or similar aviation/industrial data platforms.
  • Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics use cases.
  • Strong background in data management, data governance, and reporting solutions.
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Business analysis certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent.
