Prototype Build Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Prototype Build Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Overview
The Prototype Build Engineer for this position will be responsible for managing all prototype build activities including leading part procurement and supplier issue resolution across multiple programs, providing prototype design support, creating BOMs and process sheets for build operators, and resolving build floor issues affecting quality, engineering design, manufacturing process, and timing.
Responsibilities
- Lead part procurement and resolve supplier issues across multiple programs
- Provide prototype design support
- Create BOMs (Bill of Materials)
- Develop process sheets for build operators
- Resolve build floor issues impacting quality, design, manufacturing process, and timing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Basic vehicle build process knowledge
- Basic knowledge of CATIA V5, NX, and TeamCenter
- Strong leadership, communication, and program management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with ability to prepare presentations and present to management
- 0-5 years of experience
