Manufacturing Change Control Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Change Control Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Madison, Wisconsin.
Overview
The manufacturing change control specialist is responsible for managing and executing change controls, supporting design updates, verification activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute change controls (MOCs) from change request to final closeout utilizing master control.
- Manage verification activities from planning to final documentation, ensuring proper traceability and approval following SOPs.
- Conduct part measurement and statistical analysis independently, using findings to assess tolerance change requests, including assembly stack-up tolerances.
- Support manufacturing floor issues through communication and collaboration with operations and quality teams, following up with personnel for closure and effectiveness checks.
- Assist in the design, sourcing, and building of test fixtures based on schematics and drawings.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards in all activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to coordinate project work.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed in accordance with good documentation practices and manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and hazards.
- Estimate materials and labor needed for mechanical projects and repairs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, change control, or related roles.
- Experience with managing change controls and verification activities.
- Ability to read schematics and drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with geometric dimensional tolerancing (GD&T).
- Project management experience with short to mid-range projects.
- Familiarity with windows-based test systems.
