Supply Chain Analyst
Talascend is currently seeking a Supply Chain Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
Overview
The supply chain analyst will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules, ensuring product availability, managing demand forecasts, and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demand and improve supply chain performance.
Responsibilities
- Proceed PSI/SCP activities to ensure on-time right quantity allocation and delivery to customer.
- Manage product availability to meet forecasted demand by account, including receiving orders based on allocation and delivering to customers on time.
- Input weekly AP2 forecast to maximize product allocation by each account and site.
- Track weekly customer orders and process to meet delivery deadlines.
- Operate logistics order processes such as diversion and stock transfer.
- Publish daily/weekly operating reports (PSI/SCP).
- Develop and maintain short-term demand forecasts for assigned product categories using historical data and market insights.
- Manage weekly demand forecasts by SKU/site level to secure supply commitments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to adjust forecasts based on product launches, promotions, and market trends.
- Monitor inventory levels and develop strategies to balance inventory investment against service levels.
- Coordinate with HQ to optimize production scheduling and supplier management.
- Monitor sales order receiving and shipping processes to meet sales targets.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management on demand, inventory, and supply chain performance.
- Analyze and publish weekly ATS/aging reports to maximize sales and minimize inventory.
- Manage weekly MPO/factory aging inventory.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of experience in supply chain, data analysis, and logistics operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- MUST be bilingual in Korean and English.
- Knowledge of supply chain operations related to specific areas and general supply chain processes.
- Ability to identify standard problems within the supply chain cycle and recommend solutions.
- Ability to interpret and work with sales, purchase, and transfer order information.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and taking initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
