Talent Acquisition Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Reston, Virginia.
Overview: this role involves sourcing, engaging, interviewing, and guiding top talent to successful careers, ensuring the effectiveness of talent acquisition programs and policies aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies and leverages industry trends, legislative updates, and best practices to ensure talent acquisition programs, policies, and processes are current and effective.
- Sectors, screens, and interviews candidates for various positions, complying with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Analyzes resumes for relevant skills and qualifications, conducts screening interviews, assists managers with interviews, tests and ranks candidates, extends offers, and provides feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
- Works with managers to create job requisitions and advertisements, develops job descriptions, posts on internal and external sites, and collaborates with external recruiting agencies.
- Represents the organization at employment fairs, participates in campus recruiting activities, and builds sourcing pipelines for targeted talent pools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent
- 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated strength with candidates and internal customers
- Experience with EPC industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with hiring managers and candidates
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong initiative with sound judgment in candidate assessment and issue escalation
- Experience managing high-volume tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Supporting semiconductor and data center industries is preferred
