Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Norcross, Georgia.

Overview

The main function of this role is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple locations, focusing on HVAC systems and related building systems. The role requires technical expertise in HVAC and related crafts, along with the ability to travel between sites and ensure safety and operational standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, and life safety systems for various facilities.
  • Travel between multiple facilities to ensure their proper function.
  • Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance.
  • Maintain HVAC equipment by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Follow safety policies for hazardous material handling and maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Perform periodic checks of tools and inventory.
  • Monitor the quality and pricing of work performed by outside contractors.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and recognize hazards to prevent accidents.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
  • Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems analysis and troubleshooting.
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification.
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.

This position involves traveling between multiple locations and requires on-site work during standard business hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
