Facilities Manager
Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Brea, California.
Overview
The Facilities Manager will serve as the single point of contact responsible for facilities management, assisting the Regional Manager and the Account Director with the delivery of quality facility management services. This role manages facilities/plant operations teams covering regulatory compliance, quality assurance, financial performance and reporting, and personnel management/development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the plant operations team, ensuring maintenance, financial, CMMS, safety, and regulatory compliance programs are performed efficiently.
- Maintain working knowledge and ensure compliance with the Master Services Agreement (MSA) and relevant amendments or appendices guiding the client relationship.
- Own financial performance related to operational facilities spend while ensuring adherence to established budgets.
- Track trends and recommend action plans for below-standard performance based on KPI/SLA for plant operations/engineering services.
- Provide oversight and support in delivering maintenance, projects, and vendor activities that support critical operations and functions.
- Ensure staff is trained in approved practices and procedures for proper facility maintenance techniques.
- Create a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to safety, infection control policies and procedures, including proper protective clothing and gear and proper handling of contaminated equipment and tools.
- Ensure building systems and equipment are maintained in accordance with applicable state, federal, and local regulatory requirements.
- Determine the degree of compliance with applicable standards as directed by management, specifically in areas including NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, safety management, security management, hazardous materials management, and waste.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience.
- Managerial experience with proven budget and personnel responsibilities.
- Strong organizational and management skills within matrixed organizations, including oversight of both technical and administrative staff.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
Shift
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; could be on call.
