Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Blair, Nebraska.

Overview

This role involves supporting packaging operations, operating packaging equipment, managing damage products, and maintaining cleanliness within the warehouse environment. The position also includes participation in safety and quality programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support packaging duties including forklift support, pulling product off the packaging line, recording pallet counts, and placing pallets in the warehouse.
  • Operate packaging equipment to produce totes and 25kg pallets, including bag adjustments, equipment troubleshooting, and general operation.
  • Identify and move damaged products to designated areas, break down and restock pallets, and dump damage bags into super sacks for reprocessing.
  • Perform sanitation duties such as cleaning spills, sweeping, and wiping down equipment, railings, bumpers, shelves, and walls.
  • Participate in security and safety training related to feed safety, product quality, and environmental safety and health programs.
  • Assist with miscellaneous warehouse projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and packaging equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
