Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate for a contract opportunity with our client in West Chester Township, Ohio.

Overview

Performs a variety of warehouse duties including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and storing parts. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of incoming and outgoing shipments. Must be able to operate warehouse equipment and perform all operator functions such as picking and put-away.

Responsibilities

  • Use order pick lists and RF scanners to accurately pick customer orders
  • Group and transport parts to packing areas based on order requirements
  • Verify counts and ensure order accuracy before packing
  • Complete partially filled orders as needed prior to shipment
  • Perform shipping and receiving functions, including:
    • Verifying incoming shipments against documentation
    • Inspecting for damages and recording shortages or discrepancies
    • Preparing outgoing shipments (weighing, labeling, documentation)
    • Ensure all shipments are complete, accurate, and properly labeled
    • Maintain shipping and receiving records and documentation
    • Perform system transactions and make corrections as needed
    • Operate electric-powered forklifts (including stand-up/reach trucks)
    • Use warehouse equipment such as banding machines, tape machines, and RF scanners
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience
  • Stand-up or reach truck experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Basic computer skills are a plus
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling
  • Ability to work on concrete floors for extended periods
  • Strong basic math skills for data accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible and cooperative
