Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Expeditor for a contract opportunity with our client in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Overview

The warehouse expeditor is responsible for ensuring the smooth, timely flow of materials, parts, and finished goods into and out of the warehouse. This role works closely with procurement, logistics, production, and suppliers to track, prioritize, and expedite shipments while minimizing delays and inventory disruptions. The position plays a critical role in maintaining supply chain continuity and supporting operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Proactively identify delays or shortages and escalate issues to procurement or vendors as needed.
  • Expedite critical materials and orders to meet operational or customer deadlines.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to confirm order status.
  • Collaborate with procurement to prioritize urgent purchase orders and back orders.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to align receiving and shipping schedules.
  • Assist in managing inventory flow by ensuring timely receipt and staging of goods.
  • Support cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Help maintain optimal stock levels by flagging shortages or overstock conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipment status, delays, and expediting actions.
  • Update ERP or warehouse management systems with current order and delivery data.
  • Generate reports on delivery performance, vendor reliability, and expediting activity.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or expediting.
  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and follow-up abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred).
