Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate for a contract opportunity with our client in Maplewood, Minnesota.

Overview

This role involves receiving, processing, and distributing incoming packages, maintaining inventory, preparing shipments, and managing various shipping operations in a fast-paced environment. The position may require occasional travel to a secondary location in Woodbury, MN, and forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, process, and distribute all incoming packages and pallets
  • Pick up, process, validate documentation, and hand off outgoing packages to freight suppliers
  • Record and label materials
  • Maintain inventory using client inventory systems
  • Enter Bill of Lading information
  • Process desktop shipping labels for outbound shipments
  • Process all requests and orders
  • Prepare and ship non-regulated packages received daily
  • Utilize Trackpad scanners to scan and record all incoming and outgoing packages, troubleshooting equipment and software issues
  • Create reports and metrics using Trackpad data analytics
  • Identify, sort, and manage pallet inventories for mail, shipping, and receiving operations
  • Weigh and record the weight of materials for shipment daily
  • Coordinate courier pick-up and delivery, confirming receipt, and resolving related issues
  • Manage incoming and outgoing temperature-sensitive shipments
  • Deliver or coordinate pickup of packages to customer work areas
  • Report defective materials or potential safety issues to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to interact effectively with client personnel
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High accuracy in handling sensitive equipment and shipments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, walk up and down stairs, and operate manual pallet jacks
  • Ability to detect emergency alarms (auditory and visual)
  • Training will be provided depending on role
  • Computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products preferred but not required
