Inventory/Teardown Tech
Talascend is currently seeking an Inventory/Teardown Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Allen Park, Michigan.
Overview
This position involves inventory management tasks including loading, unloading, inspecting, and tracking parts, as well as supporting automotive disassembly and teardown processes. The role demands a high level of motivation, organization, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. Read work orders or follow verbal instructions.
- Identify, inspect, and track incoming and outgoing parts for quality, quantity, and accuracy.
- Load materials and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Clean, organize, remove packing dunnage, and keep work area clean.
- Must be an automotive technician / mechanic with a high level of urgency, motivation, and enthusiasm to learn.
- Set up parts for engineering review on tables by commodity/system, put away parts review are completed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 - 2 years inventory experience.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of automotive experience, specifically disassembly/tear down.
- Strong computer experience and tech savvy.
- Own tools with rolling toolbox.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal communication skills for working with customers.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures.
- Reliable attendance.
- Valid driver’s license.
