Talascend is currently seeking an Aerospace Test Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida.

Overview

This role involves supporting aerospace testing operations by conducting various performance evaluations, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure aircraft systems and components meet safety and quality standards. The technician will work onsite to perform tests, calibrations, and analysis for aerospace systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests on aerospace systems and components to evaluate performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions based on test findings.
  • Troubleshoot and provide data for failure review investigations.
  • Determine compliance to test specifications using methods from drawings, work procedures, and diagrams.
  • Assist in the selection and setup of specialized test equipment.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level production test technicians and support workers in executing testing tasks.
  • Measure medium complexity hardware.
  • Manage lab equipment inventory and suggest lab improvements.
  • Document procedures and findings and communicate these effectively to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an engineering technician or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace testing methodologies and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot at system and component levels.
  • Perform test station assembly, qualification, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment and software tools relevant to aerospace applications (CIRTS, DEWESOFT, etc.).
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting to support engineering decisions.
  • Knowledge of equipment used within test functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, timekeeping systems, Solumia, etc.).

  • Experience in aerospace engineering processes.
  • Attention to detail with manual and eye dexterity.
  • Experience leading complex system integration projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and new challenges.

The shift for this position is 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm, working onsite in Clearwater, Florida.
