Quality Control Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Overview

The role involves performing quality control grabs every four hours, preparing and performing composite analyses, assisting in shipping samples, and conducting chemical and physical testing using advanced instrumentation. The technician will communicate findings with production supervisors and maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for quality control grabs every four hours and additional grabs as needed
• Preparing and performing composite analyses
• Assisting in shipping out samples to customers and conducting testing
• Performing chemical analytical and physical testing with advanced instrumentation
• Communicating sample analysis progress and results to supervisors
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols
• Troubleshooting equipment or process issues and reporting non-routine events
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED); some higher education or secondary science degree preferred
• Minimum 6 months industrial laboratory, manufacturing, or production experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to read and understand work and safety instructions
• Basic math and reasoning skills
• Demonstrated ability to perform duties through relevant experience, training, or education
