Expediter
Talascend is currently seeking an Expediter for a contract opportunity with our client in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Overview
This role involves supporting the timely movement of materials, documentation, and project information to meet project milestones, expediting, shipping requirements, and customer deadlines. It primarily focuses on expediting and logistics/shipping operations.
Responsibilities
- Follow up with vendors and suppliers for purchase orders on schedules
- Support shipping, expediting, and logistics activities for projects
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and logistics teams
- Track open purchase orders, shipping milestones, documentation, and delivery risks from start to finish
- Communicate effectively to resolve shipment delays, material risks, or documentation issues
- Work cross-functionally to ensure project milestones and customer deadlines are met
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- 0-2 years of experience in logistics, expediting, or a related field
- Knowledge of logistics concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting shipment coordination, supplier follow-up, and schedule tracking
Shift
The standard work hours are Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with hybrid in-office and remote work following training.
