Test Automation Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Test Automation Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
This role involves designing, developing, and implementing test automation solutions for various control and data acquisition systems. The candidate will support software applications, participate in testing processes, and have hands-on experience with PLC programming and test instruments.
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, develop, write, and implement test automation software applications.
- Support and install software applications and operating systems.
- Participate in testing processes through review, analysis, witnessing, and certification of software.
- Integrate test instruments such as power analyzers, power supplies, pressure and temperature scanners, flow meters, pressure transmitters, and actuators into control systems.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve software and system issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, robotics engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development focusing on data acquisition and control systems.
- Experience in PLC programming with emphasis on Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff PLCs.
- Strong programming skills in LabVIEW or equivalent; familiarity with additional programming languages is a plus.
- Experience integrating test instruments into control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
