Quality Control Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Birmingham, Alabama.
Overview
This role involves executing quality control procedures and operating equipment for manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and process specifications.
Responsibilities
- Accurately perform complex, multi-step solution preparations with direct supervision
- Assemble and disassemble process equipment on multiple unit operations for extrusion, microsphere, liposome, or polymerization processes with direct supervision
- Operate PLC controlled equipment, adjusting set-points as directed in batch records
- Use basic hand tools required for equipment operation
- Execute in-process environmental monitoring with direct supervision
- Participate in the execution of IOQs with direct supervision
- Demonstrate personal proficiency of aseptic technique with minimal supervision
- Accurately execute development/engineering, GLP or GMP batch records with direct supervision
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GMP or laboratory environment
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
