Senior Project Scheduler-Remote
Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Project Scheduler for a remote, contract opportunity with our client.
Overview
The Senior Project Scheduler will support planning and scheduling efforts for advanced reactor projects using Primavera P6 software. The role involves developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, as well as coordinating with team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an integrated baseline lifecycle schedule in Primavera P6.
- Regularly update and provide weekly progress reports, layouts, and publication of the master schedule.
- Identify and communicate variances from the original plan and weekly baseline snapshots.
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identifying developing problem areas.
- Process project change notices into P6 baseline and live schedule monthly.
- Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of progress changes to schedule and recommend solutions.
- Support Primavera P6 administration functions, ensuring data and interface maintenance.
- Assist with project review meetings and planning support, interacting with project team members.
- Drive continual improvement of schedule project controls metrics and other performance indicators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent technical field.
- Minimum of ten years of project scheduling experience, preferably in R&D, engineering, and/or Department of Energy projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and EPPM application.
- Experience with MS Power BI Service, Oracle BI, or other data analytics platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, creative thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and high integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-SP, or AACE certification.
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
- Experience using Microsoft Project Online.
