Talascend is currently seeking an Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Acton, Massachusetts.

Overview

The role involves assembling fabricated parts at floor stations, performing testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet required tolerances and product specifications, and following safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test components and finished products in accordance with engineering and product specifications
  • Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair units that do not meet tolerance or testing requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures
  • Accurately document production activity and maintain required records

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Typically requires 2-4 years of experience in the field or a related area
  • Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines
  • Works under immediate supervision with limited need for independent judgment
  • Reports to a supervisor or manager

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Lifting in excess of 30 pounds and/or frequent repetitive lifting may be required. Exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological materials, or other physical risks is anticipated.

The shift is from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime required.
