Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.

Overview

The manufacturing technician operates production equipment and is responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products, ensuring adherence to blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to meet product specifications and tolerance levels.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment to manufacture and assemble products.
  • Follow blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to meet product specifications and tolerance levels.
  • Ensure compliance with process standards, including knowledge of heat treat, quench, and age processes, as well as blueprints and dip braze processes as a plus.
  • Work under immediate supervision, relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines.
  • Handle moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks, with lifting generally at or below 30 lbs.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of heat treat, quench, and age process, per AMS2770.
  • Knowledge of AS9100.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Ability to perform functions based on instructions and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dip braze process experience is a plus.
