Talascend is currently seeking a Cost Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Chandler, Arizona.

Overview

This role involves supporting cost engineering and cost analysis activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements, requiring a high degree of technical skill. The position includes preparing monthly cost deliverables and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure alignment and timeliness of cost inputs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports
  • Assist in developing and assigning specific project cost accounts and recommend modifications
  • Prepare and coordinate support for monthly invoices and reconcile project billings and coding
  • Coordinate the development and accuracy of project reports such as PSERV, CoCo, and QURR
  • Verify consistency of reports for compatibility and accuracy
  • Perform performance monitoring and control functions using applicable procedures
  • Prepare specific budgets and assist with their allocation according to standards and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated skill in data-driven problem analysis and solution
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting systems (CFAR), controller account codes, cost management system (EcoSys), and digital supply chain system (DSCS)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to summarize findings, reach appropriate conclusions, and implement cost containment plans
  • Demonstrated flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data centers and/or semiconductor industries
