Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

Overview

The maintenance supervisor is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining long-range plans to improve maintenance activities and providing technical assistance to manufacturing departments. The role involves managing personnel, materials, and equipment to support initiatives aimed at safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Support plant in achieving safety, people, quality, responsiveness, and cost goals.
  • Supervise construction and maintenance projects.
  • Assist in implementing divisional and corporate policies.
  • Maintain schedule and quality requirements.
  • Implement safety and good housekeeping standards.
  • Train, develop, and evaluate employees.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national labor agreements and support divisional and corporate policies.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve problems.
  • Execute planned maintenance activities within budget, manpower, and time constraints.
  • Support plant safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost objectives.
  • Supervise ongoing construction and maintenance efforts.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in engineering or related technical field preferred.
  • Trained in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts.
  • Experience in machine, assembly, and/or facility areas.
  • Knowledge of maintaining a safe industrial work environment.
  • Basic math skills including trigonometry.
  • Experience supervising a multi-trade workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email tools.
  • High analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
