Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Lab Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Allen Park, Michigan.

Overview

The electrical lab coordinator is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, maintenance, and coordination of electrical lab activities, ensuring timely and efficient operations while acting as a liaison between the customer and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create 2nd shift lineup for all areas (lab and shop floor)
  • Be the liaison between the customer and the leader on issues and completion updates
  • Work with the leader in each area to ensure work is completed on time
  • Attend meetings with customers and leaders to review requested work
  • Oversee maintenance, calibration, and repair schedules for all electrical lab equipment, interacting with service engineers and maintaining detailed service records
  • Use software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook fluently
  • Issue, log, and set up new projects
  • Assist with data entry and process submittals (VDOs)
  • Process and track project submissions (RFIs, submittals, change requests, etc.)
  • Create, log, and update project-related spreadsheets
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of long-lead electrical equipment and materials, tracking inventory to prevent delays
  • Develop, maintain, and manage electrical project schedules in alignment with the master timeline
  • Conduct on-site inspections and quality control checks in accordance with plans and standards
  • Lead and document electrical coordination meetings, communicating progress and resolving issues
  • Participate in the project closeout process, ensuring proper documentation completion

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical coordination or a related field
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of electrical automotive components and wiring
  • Ability to read electrical schematics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Ford GPIRS system
  • Familiarity with FordDoc
  • General understanding of electrical automotive components and wiring
  • Able to read electrical schematics

The shift for this position is during the 2nd shift hours.
