Driver, Engineering Tech Analyst (Valid Drivers License Required)
Talascend is currently seeking an Engineering Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Milford, Michigan.
Overview
This role involves setting up and performing emission testing on vehicles, evaluating results, and recommending corrective actions. The position requires collaboration with various levels of the organization and a focus on precision and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Set up and perform emission testing on vehicles at Milford Proving Ground
- Evaluate testing results and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with team members and follow testing schedules
- Escalate troubleshooting issues to team lead as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of test results and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
- Entry-level position with 0-2 years of experience
- Experience with dynamometer testing and lab operations setup is a plus
- Experience with AVL, Horiba, or Burke Porter systems preferred
- Understanding of global manufacturing system principles
- Strong attention to detail and data validation skills
- Self-motivated with good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in dynamometer testing or lab setup
- Experience with AVL, Horiba, or Burke Porter equipment
- Knowledge of global manufacturing systems
- Previous R&D experience preferred
The shift for this position will be the 2nd shift, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with an initial training period on the 1st shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) for approximately 8 weeks. There is potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
