Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Overview
The Senior Human Resources Generalist provides expertise and support across all areas within human resources, serving as an ambassador for the organization. This role plays an integral part of the employee and candidate experience through recruiting and HR lifecycle activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support various HR areas with ad hoc projects and tasks, including operations, compensation and benefits, talent development, employee engagement, and other functions.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating HR processes, proposing solutions, and driving solutions to completion.
- Facilitate onboarding, new-hire orientation, and exit interviews, including data entry in HRIS and audits for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in preparing HR-related metrics, reports, and documentation for management, auditors, and stakeholders.
- Assist with system integration and optimization efforts for HR functions, monitoring timelines and resource needs to drive results.
- Provide coaching and guidance on HR policies, employment law, and procedures.
- Support goal setting, employee development, and career progression initiatives.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including strategic planning, sourcing, interviewing, screening, and offer processes.
- Partner with business leaders to understand operations and define candidate requirements.
- Collaborate with HR teams on creating job descriptions, preparing offers, and managing internal mobility.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of human resources experience with at least 2 years in a generalist or senior generalist role, preferably in a public company or regulated environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant field of study.
- Proficiency using ADP and/or other HR systems and technology.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with HR cross-functional teams, business operations, and stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret information, make suggestions, and drive change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and responsiveness in a multi-task environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of recruiting, HR practices such as compensation, benefits, talent management, DEI, and HR operations.
- Experience working directly with senior leadership.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with external organizations.
- Project management skills and experience launching initiatives or programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, and HR reporting tools.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
