Talascend is currently seeking a Gas Turbine Repair Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Greenville, South Carolina.
Overview
This role involves managing repair qualifications, analyzing non-conformance notifications, supporting quality initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficiency and quality of gas turbine repairs.
Responsibilities
- Manage repair qualifications for the Greenville Service Center, ensuring compliance and quality control.
- Analyze and resolve Repair Non-Conformance Notifications (NCNs) in a timely and high-quality manner.
- Support the service center’s Built in Quality (BIQ) initiatives daily.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Supply Chain, and Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology.
- Recommend updates to repair engineering instruction (REI) requirements for gas turbine components.
- Engage in Kaizen initiatives to enhance efficiency and assist in maintaining and updating engineering processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to address quality and process issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, materials, electrical, computer science, or related field) from an accredited university.
- Strong foundational focus on safety, quality, execution, and process rigor.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
