Talascend is currently seeking a Appliance Technical Quality Rework Lead for a contract opportunity with our client in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
Overview
This role involves supervising and performing quality-related tasks within a warehouse environment, including inspections, installations, and customer interactions to enhance product quality and address customer pain points.
Responsibilities
- Perform as a working lead supervisor to implement product quality enhancements in a warehouse environment
- Inspect and/or install appliance product upgrades and enhancements
- Conduct customer home visits, document customer pain points, and gather related data
- Travel to different locations as needed, including overnight trips
- Work collaboratively with service providers, internal teams, and external contractors
- Perform inspections, test operations, and rework functions following SOPs and instructions
- Handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods
- Utilize hand tools, test equipment, and computer software to perform duties effectively
- Engage in troubleshooting, documentation, and communication regarding product issues
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 5+ years of industrial, automotive, appliance manufacturing quality experience or appliance service technician experience
- Experience with hand tools, test equipment, and test/inspection SOPs
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency in using computers, spreadsheet software, and peripheral devices
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer interaction skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with handling warranty, service calls, and customer documentation
- Experience in warehouse or domestic RDC environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
