Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Overview
The maintenance supervisor oversees mechanics and electricians in a body shop environment, ensuring production lines run smoothly and efficiently. The role involves supervising a team, managing safety and quality standards, and coordinating maintenance activities across multiple shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanics and electricians in the body shop, supporting daily production activities
- Lead shift start-up meetings and oversee ongoing operations during the shift
- Respond to breakdowns and coordinate repairs to maintain production flow
- Manage team payroll, safety, quality, and inventory of spare parts
- Report weekly on throughput and process improvements; participate in business plan deployment
- Collaborate with production teams, other group leaders, and engineering personnel
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree preferred; field of study not specified
- At least 8 years of experience in maintenance or related roles
- Familiarity with fanuc robots is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and leadership skills
- Experience with automotive welding processes and quality standards
- Ability to build relationships and open to learning new skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive welding and process quality
- Experience with Fanuc robots is desirable
