Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Apex, North Carolina.
Overview
This role involves ensuring seamless facility operations through preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems, while maintaining safety protocols and regulatory standards. The technician will support fire life safety systems, manage maintenance documentation, and contribute to operational continuity in a pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform preventative and corrective maintenance of facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
- Support operations in compliance with safety policies, GMP standards, and site procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, equipment logs, and CMMS records
- Support fire life safety equipment and systems
- Assist with shutdowns, emergency repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience, preferred in pharmaceutical or regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of fire life safety equipment
- Experience using CMMS systems for work orders management and documentation
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
