Talascend is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.
Overview
The strategic sourcing specialist supports key sourcing and procurement initiatives within a global, execution-focused organization. The role involves executing transactional sourcing activities, ensuring compliance within supplier contract management systems, and collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead commodity management activities and supplier negotiations.
- Prepare, route, and upload Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
- Draft unilateral letters, novations, assignments, and assumptions in partnership with legal and contracts teams.
- Review supplier amendments prior to execution to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare and submit compliance documentation, including extended terms requests, FAIR pull requests, supplier scorecards, SAP data updates, and price justifications.
- Develop and distribute RFQ packages with drawings and documentation.
- Execute vendor master additions, changes, and material master updates.
- Analyze demand, forecasts, and historical receipt data of parts.
- Maintain supplier documentation within contract management systems.
- Initiate should-cost engineering analysis requests.
- Extract and analyze sourcing data at the platform level.
- Resolve purchase order and supplier portal issues.
- Support and analyze content assessments such as CID and BAA.
Qualifications
- Strong sourcing, procurement, and supplier negotiation experience.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Proficiency with SAP, ERP systems, eSourcing tools, RFQ platforms, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management and/or contract management experience.
- Professional certifications in supply chain, procurement, project management, or contract management.
- Experience with lean, six sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Passion for learning, process improvement, and operational excellence.
