Talascend is currently seeking a Facility Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Costa Mesa, California.
Overview
The Facility Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various facility systems and equipment. The role involves ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and safety across multiple technical areas within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all facility systems equipment including electrical, HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, electrical wiring, refrigerant handling, and building automation systems.
- Execute preventive maintenance programs for HVACR and chiller systems.
- Maintain electrical systems, including low and medium voltage power distribution and lighting systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and other miscellaneous facility systems such as automatic doors, fire safety systems, and emergency equipment.
- Conduct daily start-up procedures for building systems like fire pumps, water heaters, boilers, elevators, and compressors.
- Perform miscellaneous repairs such as painting and hardware maintenance and be open to additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- HVAC or Universal License required, with commercial and industrial experience preferred.
- Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting facility systems.
- Strong technical knowledge in electrical, HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to analyze complex system issues using building automation systems, blueprints, schematics, and readings.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
Shift
1st shift, Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling options based on business needs.
