Talascend is currently seeking an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Chandler, Arizona.
Overview
This role involves operating, inspecting, and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment in assigned facilities to ensure efficient operation and longevity. The technician will focus on energy-efficient, safe maintenance practices while minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and associated mechanical and electrical systems within facilities.
- Perform repairs and inspections of interior and exterior property components, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in HVAC and refrigeration, with skills in electrical, piping, plumbing, and material handling equipment.
- Execute preventive maintenance and respond to work orders related to facility systems and equipment.
- Maintain and operate HVAC and refrigeration systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and basic building repairs.
- Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
- Update work status in real-time using CMMS systems such as Corrigo.
- Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and be available for call-in work and after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, with strong HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and equipment maintenance skills.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or supermarket refrigeration systems.
- Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
