Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a contract opportunity with our client in Lansing, Michigan.
Overview
The Maintenance Mechanic provides electrical and mechanical support for the assigned buildings, with responsibilities spanning HVAC systems, plumbing, general maintenance, and vendor management. The role involves maintaining safety and organization while supporting facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain light bulbs, change ballasts, and assist with general office and building maintenance
- Perform plumbing repairs, painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and cleaning tasks
- Move furniture, machinery, and equipment as needed
- Assist with repair and maintenance of building equipment
- Ensure safety policies are followed and hazardous materials are properly handled
- Maintain accurate records of work performed in an organized manner
- Support emergency responses and preventive maintenance activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
Shift
2nd shift (Tuesday - Saturday, approximately 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
