Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Radnor, Pennsylvania.
Overview
This role involves managing tenant improvement and capital improvement construction projects across a portfolio, coordinating activities, and representing the landlord in various commercial office projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess project feasibility.
- Manage weekly project meetings with clients, design teams, and leasing teams.
- Review RFPs and represent the landlord in projects ranging from 5,000 to 100,000 sq ft.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- 2-4 years of construction project management experience.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Basic knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.
- Candidates must be local with local experience, primarily onsite work on tenant improvement and capital projects.
- Driver's license is required as contractors will be traveling to multiple sites in the Radnor area.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMI or PMP certification.
- Experience managing commercial office projects ranging from 5,000 to 100,000 sq ft.
- Design backgrounds such as interior, architectural, or engineering experience are a plus.
