Talascend is currently seeking a Hospital Interior Construction Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Sacramento, California.

Overview

The Hospital Interior Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all interior architectural construction activities for a large hospital project, ensuring compliance with quality, schedule, budget, and regulatory standards. They serve as the owner’s subject matter expert and field representative, providing leadership and coordination throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an owner’s on-site representative for all interior architectural construction activities.
  • Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, productivity, and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Review construction progress, proactively identify risks, deficiencies, and schedule impacts.
  • Provide regular reports to project leadership regarding interior construction status, quality concerns, and corrective actions.
  • Facilitate coordination among designers, contractors, end users, and facilities staff.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in healthcare construction, specifically in acute care environments.
  • 8-10 years of project management experience.
  • Background in interior construction.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.
  • Experience working with HCAI Level One Hospital Tower construction and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HCAI/OSHPD regulations and hospital project standards.
  • Experience working as an owner’s representative on hospital projects.
  • Possession of a college degree is preferred but not required.
